1st Dr. Sam Mendicino Lifetime Achievement Award Presented May 4, 2024

A very special award was given for the first time in memory of Dr. Sam Mendicino, an innovator and educator committed to the podiatric profession.

The 1st recipient was Dr. Al Ng of Orthopedic Centers of Colorado who has contributions to the profession including – GTEf Alumni, GTEF Lecturer, Director – Rocky Mountain Reconstructive Foot & Ankle Fellowship, ABFAS Past President, ACFAS Incoming President, ABFAS Exam Committee, and involvement in design and consulting of surgical equipment for many manufacturers.

Congratulations to Dr. Ng for this much-deserved special honor.

GTEF EDUCATION MISSION STATEMENT:
To enhance and support the need for quality podiatric education and knowledge to achieve the goal of providing the highest quality of care for the healthcare community and public. Dedicated to fostering excellence, we achieve this goal by offering the latest innovative options and providing a comprehensive education for the treatment of the foot, ankle, and lower leg pathology. We strive to equip and empower Podiatric Medical/Surgical Attending Physicians, Podiatric Surgical Residents, Students, Allopathic Physicians, and healthcare professionals with cutting-edge knowledge, skills, and research through a variety of educational activities, including continuing education seminars/conferences, case review presentations, lectures, panel/group discussions, and live internet activities. We aim to elevate the standards of podiatric practices/ services and use our dynamic educational initiatives as a commitment to being an educational cornerstone throughout the medical community.
