Jorge Matuk, DPM
Dr. Matuk received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Barry University, in Miami FL, in 2008. Previous to this degree, He attended Medical School at Cartagena University in Colombia, and graduated in 1988. Later, He moved to Sao Paulo Brazil, where he received his Medical Degree as Orthopedic Surgeon, and went back to his Country, Colombia, where he practiced Orthopedic Surgery for 9 years before moving to the USA.
In 2004, Dr. Matuk started Podiatry Medicine at the Podiatry Medical School at Barry University in Miami, FL, where He received a Master degree in Biomedical Sciences, and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2008 from Podiatry school as a D.P.M., and was inducted into the Pi Delta National Podiatric Honor Society, and also received the award in excellence in Podiatric Surgery from the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
Dr. Matuk completed his surgical training in Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery at Kingwood Medical Center, Houston TX, and served as a chief resident during his last year. Dr. Matuk is a Board Qualified in Forefoot and Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He has been in private practice since 2011. And is a member of the TPMA, Texas Podiatry Medical Association, American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and American Podiatry Medical Association.
Dr. Matuk is responsible for resident compliance of time logs, evaluations, and residency resource surgical logs at the Harris County Podiatric Surgical Residency and its Fellowship in Reconstructive Ankle and Foot Surger in Kingwood. He has several hospital affiliations where residents can assist him during surgeries and office visits.
Dr. Matuk is married to his wife Anna, and has three daughters, during his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, cooking and traveling. He also enjoys Soccer, and now in the Houston area he has become a Texans fan.
